Zebra ZM400 Printhead Replacement

Time to replace that old, used up printhead for a new one? Printheads are designed to wear out and so they have to be replaced from time to time. There are a few things to keep in mind when replacing the printhead to make this a smooth transition. Utilize our Zebra ZM400 printhead replacement pointers for the best results.

First, there are a couple connections on the back of the printhead that provide power and data to the printhead from the logic board. Ensure these cables are properly seated as they can be jolted loose over time. Next, is to make sure the mounting pins are aligned from the top of the printhead to the printhead chassis. This can take some finesse and some brawn to get into the correct position but it should snap, or pop into place when everything is aligned properly. There is only one mounting screw that holds it to the chassis and it’s located on top of the printhead chassis in between the 2 purple adjustment knobs. Ensure it is snug but not overtightened as this can strip the threads.
